Diablo 3 - Ruby or Emerald?

Should you use a ruby or an emerald in your socketed weapon? It depends on your stats.. offense and defense. Also depends on how much critical hit chance and critical hit damage you currently have. Generally speaking you want a 10:1 ratio for critical hit damage:critical hit chance. In other words, if you have 50% critical hit chance, you will want to have about 500% critical hit damage ideally.
